On the 12th of June, CMW, WWF and Fern, along with other co-claimants, filed a request for internal review of the CRCF permanent removals delegated act in respect of Bio-CCS and biochar. This request was supported by Lifescape Project and Partnerships for Policy Integrity acting as Forest Litigation Collaborative. As it stands, we believe that many of the provisions in the delegated act contravene the EU CRCF Regulation and risk promoting activities that could actually increase emissions rather than remove CO₂ from the atmosphere.
