We are pleased to invite you to participate in the second edition of the UPTAKE CDR Stakeholders Workshop, which will take place on October 9, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre, in Athens, Greece. This year’s event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and remote participation.
Building on the success and insights from the first edition in 2024, this second UPTAKE stakeholder workshop will continue to foster dialogue among researchers, policymakers, business leaders, and civil society representatives on the role of Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) in climate strategies.
The workshop will bring together experts from different fields of policy, governance, technological innovation, business models, and societal perceptions around CDR. It will serve as a key moment to share preliminary results from the UPTAKE project and gather expert feedback to shape our future research directions.
As a valued stakeholder, your insights and feedback are essential to advancing effective and inclusive CDR strategies. We invite you to actively contribute to the discussions, drawing from your expertise and perspective
To facilitate your participation, we are offering support of up to 300 EUR per person to cover travel and subsistence costs of in-person participants. We encourage on-site participation to make the most of the networking and collaborative opportunities. Please note that this support is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
