As mCDR gains momentum, it still operates in a grey zone of legality. Evaluating the permissibility of methods and projects can be difficult due to the multiple challenges raised by mCDR technologies. In the meantime, simplifying legal matters to binary questions does not help understand the complexity of the mCDR. For these reasons, a legal assessment framework can help understand the nuances of mCDR legality and ultimately answer the crucial question: is it legal to do it?
My work helps understand how to measure the legality of mCDR.
It provides the legal fundamentals conditioning the legality of an activity and the nuances necessary to measure the actual compliance of an activity to these fundamentals.
