- Technology solutions company Capgemini has signed two new carbon dioxide removal (CDR) agreements, one with direct air capture (DAC) trailblazer Climeworks and a second one with bio-oil carbon removal provider Charm Industrial.
- The details on the agreements state that the partnership with Charm Industrial includes the removal of 16,500 tonnes of CO2, while the deal with Climeworks will see the DAC company remove 13,000 tonnes of atmospheric carbon dioxide.
- For Charm Industrial, this investment will enable an advancement of operations, as the company intends to leverage this financial boost to scale up its production facility in Colorado and embark on new partnerships that will help with wildfire risk mitigation.
