The C-SINK Research Seminar series continues with a dedicated session on the role of Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) in ensuring credible, comparable, and trusted Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR).
Led by Evangelos Mouchos and Will Savage, this seminar will explore how MRV can provide the foundation for the appropriate and responsible deployment of CDR and introduce a public consultation on MRV launched within the C-SINK project.
The consultation invites input on low-cost tools for quantifying removals and addressing variances in sampling and testing methodologies. Grounded in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9000), the framework aims to strengthen quality assurance and control across diverse CDR approaches.
By joining this seminar, you will gain insights into the evolving MRV landscape, learn about emerging approaches to address uncertainty, and have the opportunity to influence the development of pre-standards and best practices.
Alongside attending, we also encourage you to complete this consultation survey , ensuring your feedback directly shapes the MRV design and its alignment with European and international standardisation efforts.
